I was induced with Blake a week before her expected due date and waited until like 3 days before to start packing my hospital bag. I really had no idea where to begin besides a phone charger and toiletries. I started stalking my favorite blogger moms on Instagram to see if they had posted their lists. I then pulled items from different lists and created my own list!
Here is what I came up with.....
*Clip on fan - I ended up just sitting this on the bedside table throughout labor/delivery and postpartum. I was all over the place with body temperature. Update: We clip this fan onto Blake's wagon for our walks!

*Nursing bras - I still wear these when I'm at home for quick access to nurse. Super comfy! Update: I wore these all throughout nursing (7 months)

*Extra long phone charger - Definitely need a longer charger than the standard if you want to use while laying in the bed.

* House slippers - I chose these fuzzy house slippers! I stayed in fuzzy socks until the 2nd day in postpartum, but with the rubber sole bottoms, it made it so much easier to walk on the slippery hospital floor.

*Bluetooth speaker - I had this playing my Spotify music next to me on the bedside table. I'm pretty sure I had some soothing music playing during delivery! This was a lifesaver in keeping me calm!

*Pillow cases - I didn't want to take my pillow case (or pillow) to the hospital and somehow forget it or get it mixed up with theirs, so I bought this pillow case (and a el' cheapo, but comfy pillow) to take and use. Hands down, TAKE A PILLOW. The ones they provide are so flat and small - it was so much comfier to sleep on a low quality cloud than a pancake.

*Night light - This was awesome to have on during night feedings so you don't have to turn on the harsh, bright hospital lights.

*Packing cubes - These aren't the exact ones I used, but these are great! I like the mesh front so you can see what is in each cube. I separated mine like so: toiletries, hospital clothes, departure clothes, and electronics. It made it SO much easier when it came time to bark orders at my husband on grabbing my "toiletry cube".

*A strand of Christmas lights - Ok, this one may seem odd to you, but it was my FAVORITE item. As soon as we got to the delivery room, we plugged these in on the floor to make the room feel more comfortable and quaint. The nurses even made a comment about how it created an ambiance in the room!

*Pajamas - So, I wore the gown until afternoon of day 2 until after I took a shower. I have the capri pants/short sleeve set just like the shorts set I've linked. They're basically identical to the one's from Nordstrom (in which I also own) and are half the cost!

*Silverette Cups - These were AMAZING for me! Literally used them anytime I wasn't nursing to help heal! I would add Motherlove cream on the sore area and pop these cups right on top each time between feedings. (Thanks for the rec', Skylar!!)

Other items:
*Chapstick
*Giant water bottle with straw (most hospitals will provide you with a large plastic mug with lid and straw - mine did, and it was used 24/7)
*Hair tie
*Make-up/toiletries
*Motherlove Cream
*Socks
I loaded up everything in my packing cubes and into a small carry-on luggage bag. Super easy and accessible!
I hope this helps!
